bw-bioPurvi received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, where her research focused on shoulder adhesive capsulitis. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University.

Purvi has been practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting since 2002. She has worked at the Sports Physical Therapy Institute in New Jersey and with the Georgetown University Sports Medicine Department. Purvi moved on to work as senior physical therapist at the Sports Club/LA and then launched SET Sports Physical Therapy in 2007, where she practiced as site director. In March 2013 Purvi founded and launched Pure Sports Physical Therapy and is now based at Balance Gym in Glover Park.

Purvi obtained her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2009. She specializes in sports medicine and orthopedics with a concentration in manual therapy, including functional trigger point dry needling. Her primary interests include shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, as well as post-operative cases. She has attended numerous manual therapy courses through North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Institute of Physical Art and Polestar Pilates.
